Too plinky plonky
Thought i would start New Year with some Chopin. Polonaise in F sharp.....unfortunately after a very good evening with lots of bubbly, chopin was far too plinky plonky so had to be abandoned for another occasion. Next i tried Thelonius Monk live at Carnegie Hall . Should have had more sense as that is certainly evening music. So my first album of today ... Old favourite Steely Dan, Katie Lied. An old friend! Such a fab album, a great start to the New Year.

think you have to return to the chopin after the champagne has worn off; or perhaps continue to imbibe and have no conscience - the more hedonistic option - but restricts you to sing-along music! LIZ
ReplyDeleteYes, morning music has to have a particular flavour, so in a year's time you can tell us just what music accompanies getting up early to a stressful job every day!
ReplyDeleteNothing in the Steely Dan repertoire beats AJA for me... do you like it too?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes I get the "Thelonius Monk" link to "Steely Dan" ;-) Did you get there by the subsconcious :-)
