Ages since I wrote the blog so lots to write up. I have really enjoyed listening to the Beethoven. I dont think that I have ever listsened to them in sequence before. I will do this again. The Mozart clarinet / oboe concertos are very special. Amongst thius selection there are some gems but also some of the most dreadful music which I never want to listen to again...................
Album 162 - Zutons Tired of Hanging Around
This is such a fun album. I am a sucker for saxaphone and there are some bril songs such as Valerie and Tired of Hanging Around are brilliant.
Album 163 Seth Lakeman Freedom Fields
Seth Lakeman is a folk singer with fab voice and who makes the traditional songs interesting and listenable. I really like this album. Liz and I were in Buxton when he was playing. The concert was sold out so we sat outside on the steps to the theatre whilst he did the sound check ..............and heard many of the songs. It was a treat.
Album 164 Mozart - Clarinet Concerto, Oboe Concerto
Is this the most beautiful music in the world???????? Cerainly a contender!
Album 165 Santana - Supernatural
I discovered this album whislst working very late and had tv on to keep me company. I think I heard 'Smooth', bought the album and just loved every track.

Album 166 Beethoven (karajan) - Symphony No 1 No2

Album 172 Mowtown - Every Great Mowtown Song
It was a real trip down memory lane listening to mowtown. This album has 'Where Did Our Love Go?',
Album 173 O Brother Where art Thou?
I bought this album after watching the film. Several tracks have Alison Krauss singing. My favourite track is 'Down to the River to Pray'. Many of the tracks are not worth listening to but were terrific in the film.
Album 174 Mozart (Brendel) Piano Concertos –
Lovely music!
Album 175 Kate Rusby Sleepless
This was the album that was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 1999. It has great tracks on it and another good folk album.
Album 176 Air Moon Safari
Dan introduced me to this French band I really love the first track - La Femme D'argent. I played it a lot at work and now children listen to it as they come into assembly. They seem to like it!
Album 177 Sandy Denny - Boxful of Treasures 4
Album 178 Sandy Denny - Boxful of Treasures 3
Sandy Denny has the most beautiful voice and it is so lovely to listen to this collection of songs. I seem to have lost CDs 1 and 2. What a pity!
Album 179 Siobhan Donaghy Ghosts
This album was in the pile and I haven't listened to it before - one left by Luke or Dan. I really enjoyed listening to it.
Album 180 Kasabian
Just could not listen to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurt my head!
Album 181 Phil Collins Hits
Managed to listen to the whole album. Think I liked it once but it doesn't stand test of time.
Album 182 Scott Joplin Piano Rags
I think I bought this for Luke when he was playing the piano. No wonder he didn't want to play Ragtime!!!!! Plinky plonk!
Album 183 Tchaikovsky/ Bruch 1st Violin Concerto
Wonderful pieces of mucgh which must so difficult to play. Both of these concertos are very familiar. I would love to go to a concert to have a sense of how physical the music is.
